Books which have inspired me on my own personal journey, both as a fashion designer and as a princess myself. I will share one of my favorite quotes from each book.

please send me a message and tell me which one inspires you the most. I would love to know.

A Guide To elegance By Genevieve Antoine Dariaux

Some think this book is old fashioned….Fleur does not agree. This is exactly the kind of book to inspire the style of a princess.

My favorite quote… “Once a woman has defined her personality- or, if she has more character, moulded to her taste- she will find it easier to achieve not only elegance but also happiness.”

“How To Be Adored” by Caroline Cox

“How to create a trademark…If you don’t have a natural trademark, develop or invent one- the way you wear your hair, an unusual piece of jewelry like a vintage charm bracelet or super-sized cocktail ring.”

“Better than beauty, A Guide To Charm” by Helen Valentine & Alice Thompson

“Have a heart of gold, by all means, but don’t expect it to help you when you first meet people. forget all the old maxims about not judging a book by its cover, and remember that first impressions must be surface impressions.”

“Valentino. Themes and variations”

“Fashion is a passing thing….Elegance is innate.”

“Christian Dior”

“Christian Dior, unlike chanel, ensured that his name became synonymous with one of the most extravagant expressions of femininity in the modern history of fashion: a femininity that was absolute, the product and sublimation of the sum of feminine wiles and artifice. Conceived as a victory over the arbitrary randomness, ugliness, and banality of the real world, it was also the history of customs, practices, and rituals dedicated to the dressing and adornment of women.

“Giambattista Valli”

“I’m here today thanks to women….I’m just a fournisseur, an accomplice to certain special moments. Creating clothing is only fifty percent of my job, the rest is all about the way the woman who will wear them will interpret my creations. my ideal woman is not just a physical entity; she embodies an outlook, a way of living. she is free, and goes through fashion keeping her own personality intact.”
